The second key image for the second season of the television anime adaptation of Take's Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! (Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!) manga was posted online on Monday. The staff also revealed the ending theme music, the anime's October 1 release date, and two more cast members.
The closing theme song, "Happy Life," will be performed by the virtual YouTuber singing group MKLNtic. The recurring duo Kano and Uzaki-chan will perform the new opening theme song "Ichigro Ichie Celebration," which is voiced by Naomi Zora (Once-in-a-Lifetime Celebration).
Shin'ichi Fukumoto, who directed an episode in the first season, is now the second season's associate director. Masahiko Suzuki and Shinpei Koikawa will work as chief animation directors alongside Manabu Kurihara in the upcoming season. The new art director and art setting artist is Satoshi Kubo. The new color key artist and compositing director of photography, respectively, are Haruko Nobori and Ysuke Yamamoto. Zuvo joins INCS Toenter Co., Ltd. in sound production. Together with Tatsuya Yano, Yuri Morita, and Naoki Tani, Satoshi Igarashi is now collaborating (HANO) on music.
Seven Seas is releasing the manga in English, and it describes the story:
Sakurai Shinichi's one wish is for a little peace and quiet. But Uzaki Hana–his boisterous, well-endowed underclassman–has other plans. All she wants is to hang out and poke fun at him. With the help of her chipper charm and peppy persistence, this might just be the start of a beautiful relationship!
