The first season of Pop Team Epic premiered in 2018, and two television specials as well as a "remix version" dubbed POP TEAM EPIC REPEAT were released in 2021. Popuko and Pipimi's voices are provided by a sizable ensemble that changes frequently.

The second season of Pop Team Epic will kick off in Japan on October 1, a new update has revealed.

The show’s October release window was announced back in July of this year

Jun Aoki, the series director and composer for Space Neko Company, and Gin, the soundtrack composer for BUSTED ROSE, are among the returning members of the team. However, Space Neko Company is now listed alongside Kamikaze Douga as the producer of the animation since Aoi Umeki is no longer working with Aoki as the co-series director.
