The first promotional clip and the primary visual for the second season of the Muv-Luv Alternative anime were made public on the website for the official production. The anime's October 5 launch date on Fuji TV's [+Ultra] programming block is revealed in the video.

The plot concerns humanity using humanoid Tactical Surface Fighters as weapons in a protracted conflict with the extraterrestrial species BETA.
