Musical Masterpiece gets a renewed anime based on Anna Schneider's pont of view

On June 27, the August issue of Kadokawa's Comic Alive magazine revealed that MAPPA and Madhouse's takt op. The Destiny anime has inspired a manga adaptation, which will be released on August 26 in the magazine's October issue. Despite being based on the anime, the manga will be written from the perspective of the character Anna Schneider. The manga will be drawn by Kino.

In the anime's story, one day a black meteorite fell on the world, and everything changed. The meteorite spawned grotesque monsters known as D2, who went on the rampage. D2 quickly banned all music, which was the only thing that could defeat them. However, some people refused to accept the D2. They are young women endowed with musical power, the "Musicart." These young women possess "scores" that can defeat the monsters. There are also those who lead these women, known as the Conductor.

The anime takes place in America in the year 2047, which has fallen to ruin thanks to the D2. Takt, a Conductor, is partnered with a Musicart named Destiny. Takt yearns for music to be returned to the world, and Destiny wishes to destroy the D2. Their aim is to travel to New York. 

The anime aired in October 2021 and consisted of 12 episodes. Crunchyroll broadcast the series live and added an English dub on April 23.
