On April 26, Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch website published the final chapter of Hazumu Sazuka's Gridman Dogma manga.
Vise, the protagonist of the manga, aspires to be a hero but is never chosen. He meets a girl who can transform into a Gridman form. The two dub themselves Hyper Agents and embark on an adventure in the computer world. They seek out those in need of assistance not for the sake of justice, but for the sake of narcissism.
In April 2021, Sazuka published the manga in Kurage Bunch. Tsuburaya Productions and Trigger's SSSS.Gridman franchise inspired the manga. Shinchosha released the first compiled book volume of the manga in May 2021.
In October 2018, the 12-episode SSSS.Gridman anime premiered. The anime was produced by Trigger and Tsuburaya Productions, the creators of the Ultraman franchise and the original 1993-1994 live-action tokusatsu (special-effects) series Denk Chjin Gridman. Crunchyroll and Funimation broadcast the anime live, and Funimation also broadcast an English dub.
Since then, the anime has spawned a stage play adaptation, numerous manga spinoffs, and a novel spinoff. The stage play was scheduled to premiere in the spring of 2020, but it was canceled due to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
The anime SSSS.Dynazenon premiered in April 2021. Funimation broadcast the anime live as it aired in Japan. The anime is categorized as part of the "Gridman Universe."
Tsuburaya Productions and Trigger are developing a new anime film in the "Gridman Universe."
