FuRyu recently teased a new game in the works called "Project Tri-Tri," which has now been revealed as Trinity Trigger and will be released on the PS5, PS4, and Switch via a leaked product listing from electronics retailer Biccamera in Japan which has since been deleted.
Three Rings is the developer, and the team consists of veteran staff members who have previously worked on RPG heavyweight titles such as Octopath Traveler and Trials of Mana. Trinity Trigger, like Octopath Traveler, is another attempt by RPG veteran developers to bring the "traditional 90s RPG experience" to the modern era.
The plot revolves around a young man named Cyan, who discovers that he is a "Warrior of Chaos" chosen by one of the many gods who use them as champions to fight against warriors of other gods. The gameplay is described as "all-new" and includes "classic isometric action" as well as a "Ring Change" system similar to the Mana games.
