The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie) sequel anime film sold approximately 290,000 tickets in its first three days at the box office in Japan, earning 390 million yen (approximately US$3.06 million). The film debuted at number two on the weekend of May 21st and 22nd.

The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie premiered on Friday and has a running time of more than 130 minutes. The film serves as the story's conclusion.



As a bonus, moviegoers will receive a special book volume 14.5, which includes a new bonus chapter 122+1 that takes place after the original ending.



The second season of the anime aired from January 2021 to March 2021. The second season was streamed on Crunchyroll, and an English dub was available on Funimation. The new season was supposed to premiere in October.2020.  The anime featured a revolving door of characters.

The first season of the anime aired in January 2019 and consisted of 12 episodes. Crunchyroll broadcast the series live as it aired in Japan, while Funimation provided an English dub.

Negi Haruba's original manga was released digitally and in print by Kodansha Comics, and the story is described as follows:

Futaro Uesugi, a poor second-year high school student, comes across a private tutoring gig with good pay one day. However, his students are his classmates!! They're also quintuplets!! A-and they're all beautiful girls, but they're also troublemakers who despise school and are on the verge of failing! And his first task is to gain the trust of the sisters?! Every day is a celebration! The curtain is up.
