-Critically Acclaimed Psychological Acid Trip Paprika Manga gets Hollywood Live Action Treatment!-

The Paprika novel by Yasutaka Tsutsui has gotten the live-action series green light at Amazon Studios and Hivemind, according to a Monday report on the entertainment industry news website Deadline.

The executive producer and director of the film will be Cathy Yan (Birds of Prey, Dead Pigs). Along with Masi Oka and Jason F. Brown of Hivemind, executive producing will also be handled by Yan's producing partner Ash Sarohia from Rewild.

In Paprika, a device that can infiltrate people's dreams is stolen. Dr. Atsuko Chiba enters the dream realm to catch the burglar because she fears he could inflict severe psychological harm.

The book was Tsutsui's debut in 1993.
