A third season of the Love Live! Superstar!! school idol program is forthcoming. The initial statement was made during a livestream to mark the end of the second season.

On November 1, auditions will start for a brand-new character that will debut in Season 3.

The first season of Love Live! Superstar!! debuted in July 2021, and the second season did so on July 17 of this year. The 2013-starting Love Live! multimedia phenomenon has given rise to a number of anime series, including this one. The second season introduces four new main characters to the first season's cast of five freshmen who are members of the Liella idol group at the Yuigaoka all-girls high school.

The ensemble also includes Liyuu as Tang Keke, Naomi Payton as Sumire Heanna, Nagisa Aoyama as Ren Hazuki, Nozomi Suzuhara as Kinako Sakurakoji, Akane Yabushima as Mei Yoneme, Wakana Ookuma as Shiki Wakana, and Aya Emori as Natsumi Onitsuka. Sayuri Date plays Kanon Shibuya.

Director Takahiro Kyougoku, series composer Jukki Hanada, character designers Atsushi Saitou and Yuuhei Murota, art directors Reiji Kasuga and Rie Katou, color designer Rie Katou, CG director Yuuki Iinuma, photography director Tadashi Kitaoka, and composer Yoshiaki Fujisawa make up the staff for both seasons. The animation was created by Sunrise, according to the credit.
