The movie Gravity Rush (also known as Gravity Daze in Japan) is being developed by PlayStation Productions and Scott Free Productions, according to the entertainment news website Deadline on Monday. The movie's script is written by Emily Jerome, and Anna Mastro is directing it. There are no specifics about the producer or presentation of the movie.
The original Gravity Rush PlayStation Vita game by Japan Studio and Sony Computer Entertainment was released in Japan in February 2012 and in the West in June 2012.
In December 2015, a remastered PlayStation 4 version of the game was released in Japan. It followed in February 2016 in the West.
2018 saw the release of Gravity Rush 2 (also known as Gravity Daze 2) on the PS4.
The studio behind the newest Evangelion films, Khara, produced a prequel "special animation" for the game. The transition from the first Gravity Rush to the sequel is made by Gravity Rush: The Animation - Overture. A manga was also inspired by the sequel game.
