The Granblue Fantasy: Relink game's official website announced on Friday that the game has been delayed until 2023. The website attributed the delay to "internal and external circumstances pertaining to the novel coronavirus." According to the announcement, the development team must further optimize the game in the final stretch of development by "refining gameplay balance, debugging, improving audio and graphical fidelity, and making general improvements to the overall experience." In December, the team will reveal more details about the game.
Cygames previously announced during its "Granblue Fes 2020" virtual event that the game would be released in 2022 for both the PlayStation 4 and the previously announced PlayStation 5. The game's multiplayer mode will be cross-platform compatible between the two consoles. Cygames revealed at the "Granblue Fes 2021" virtual event that the game will also be available on PC via Steam.
The game will be available in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. Tetsuya Fukuhara, the game's director, reportedly stated in February 2019 that the game will be released simultaneously worldwide.
