On October 21, the anime film Break of Dawn will have its Japanese theatrical debut. To give viewers another look at the sci-fi adventure movie and its cast, a key visual and major trailer have been made available. The latter also includes the theme song "Itsushika" by Daichi Miura.
Break of Dawn is based on Tetsuya Imai's manga series, which was published by Kodansha and ran from 2011 until it was completed with two tankoubon volumes. It is published under the Afternoon KC imprint and was serialized in Monthly Afternoon.
The story, which takes place in 2049, centers on Yuma Sawatari, a fourth-grader who is fixated on a comet that would shortly approach Earth closely. One day, a creature with extraterrestrial origins hacks one of his home robots. The entity, who malfunctioned during atmospheric arrival into Earth in 2022 and has been dormant while disguising itself as the apartment building where Yuma's family resides, encounters Yuma, which causes the youngster and his pals to become embroiled in a covert mission.
